Delete your data

ARKK has no account to close. Your identity is a set of cryptographic keys generated on your device, so deleting your data means destroying those keys. You do it yourself, in the app, in a few seconds, with no request to us and nothing to wait for.

What there is to delete

• On your device: your identity keys, your messages, your contacts, and your profile name and photo, all held in an encrypted local database. Resetting your identity wipes them.
• On our servers: only your public key, registered under a short fingerprint so people can reach you, and, if you turned notifications on, a push token. There is no account, no profile, and no message archive on the server to delete. Undelivered ciphertext is not an archive: it is held only until the recipient's device acknowledges it, and at most seven days if they stay offline, then it is discarded automatically.

Delete everything now

1. Open ARKK and go to your Profile.
2. Tap Reset Identity (the red action at the bottom).
3. Confirm by typing RESET when prompted.

Resetting your identity destroys the keys on your device, wipes your local messages and contacts, and removes your public key and push token from our servers. Because the keys are gone, any ciphertext still in transit can never be decrypted by anyone, and it expires on its own within seven days. Uninstalling the app afterwards removes anything left on the device.
